Measuring 42" x 8" and 71.5" x 6.5" they're long! , these charts detail at what precise moment (down to the second) each piece of dialogue, action and music/sounds. Diegetic and non-diegetic needs to be dubbed into the final film reel.
They have a vast number of annotations (in both pen and pencil) and coloured shadings on them both, mentioning The Baron and his silver Jensen car. The dubbing charts were property of Elstree Studios (where the episodes of The Baron were filmed) and have their details printed on them.
They are both in excellent condition of their age. One is made from a single piece of long paper. The other is made from two pieces of paper stuck together vertically. Sellotape has since lost some of its stick through age. The Baron ran for only a year and was the first non-marionette show to be produced in colour.
It was devised by Dalek-creator Terry Nation. These dubbing charts were used during the production of the penultimate episode: "Countdown".
