Vintage RARE 1939 "The Original OZ Book" The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum MGM Movie Edition in Original Dust Jacket published by Bobbs Merrill.

This edition is hard-to-find with an original dust jacket. OZ Book contains 208 numbered pages with W. Denslow illustrations black & white and 8 color plates.

The hardback book is in Very Good to Excellent bright clean condition with white pages, clean covers & tight spine. Covers and spine retain their pretty deep emerald green color with NO fading! The front cover has a very small spot of old water staining on the very bottom corner. This doesn't affect any of the pages.

The back cover shows a portion of old water staining at the bottom corner. This only affects the bottom corner of one color plate and the very last page bottom corner. This is shown in our last two photos. Otherwise, the book is in great condition!

The book has sepia toned photos from the MGM movie on the front & back inside covers. Original RARE Dust Jacket is in good- condition with bright colors, no fading and not price clipped. There is some small pieces of paper loss on the front and back covers and spine as shown in the first two photos.

Dust jacket is further protected by a quality mylar cover. This is a wonderful edition of this hard-to-find OZ book in original Dust Jacket! A nice addition to any OZ collection.
