Mike Nichols (director) REVISED 8/9/[80] Vintage original film script [under working title: GILDA RADNER - LIVE FROM NEW YORK]. Untitled acetate front wrapper and blue rear wrapper, as issued. Photographically reproduced, rectos only, with white revision pages throughout, dated variously between 7/18 and 8/10. The film rendition of Gilda Radner's one-woman Broadway show Gilda Radner Live on Broadway (which debuted on August 2, 1979), directed by Mike Nichols and produced by Lorne Michaels. The show included some of her most popular characters from Saturday Night Live such as Roseanne Roseannadanna. Laid in is a black-and-white headshot photograph inscribed "Love, Gilda Radner". Copy belonging to still photographer Ron Munkasci, with his staging notes and sketches to the final page of the script in holograph pencil. Radner was part of a long tradition of Jewish comedians, and she was one of the preeminent comic talents of her generation. It must come back in the same condition as it was sent.
