This is an Original Movie Script used during the making of the 1999 film titled, "Being John Malkovich". It has the original, Propaganda Films, production cover.

The front cover has some light stain marks from being used during production. This script is complete and is 100 pages long.

All of the pages inside are Double-Sided, meaning there is text printed on the front and back side of each page. I believe Propaganda Films wanted to save paper so they decided to use Double-Sided pages.

Despite not being able to earn a living solely through puppeteering, Craig loves his profession as it allows him to inhabit the skin of others. He begins to take the ability to inhabit the skin of others to the next level when he is forced to take a job as a file clerk for the off-kilter LesterCorp, located on the five-foot tall 7½ floor of a Manhattan office building.

Behind one of the filing cabinets in his work area, Craig finds a hidden door which he learns is a portal into the mind of John Malkovich, the visit through the portal which lasts fifteen minutes after which the person is spit into a ditch next to the New Jersey Turnpike. Craig is fascinated by the meaning of life associated with this finding. Lotte's trips through the portal make her evaluate her own self. Any scripts printed or used in any fashion after filming has completed are known as either a reproduction or a post-production script.

These two types of scripts are much less valuable and desirable. All of our scripts are Original. An original movie script has a lot of character in the item itself and every one of them is different in some way or another. There is usually only one script given to each crew member during production, however, sometimes they do get more than one. This makes original movie scripts very desirable because of how scarce they are.

Any changes made to the screenplay during production are known as revisions and these revision pages are inserted into that one script that was issued out to them. For example, if we are talking about a low-budget film with a small cast and only a few crew members, there are actually only a small number of scripts in existence around the world for that film. This aspect of collecting makes it fun but also difficult because there may be a certain writer or director that you love to collect and there may only be a handful of movie scripts that still exist from that specific film that you are looking for.
