Beginning with Season 2, Jim Phelps (Peter Graves) replaced Dan Briggs (Steven Hill) as the head of Impossible Missions Force (IMF). Inspired by Jules Dassin's legendary film Topkapi, Mission: Impossible became one of the most popular series in television history, setting a record for the most produced episodes of an espionage show and earning multiple Emmys®, Grammys®, and Golden Globes®.

It has since been adapted into one of the world's most successful film series, making it amongst the most venerable franchises in American media. This lot consists of brass brad-bound production scripts for the Season 4 episodes "Lover's Knot" (57 pages) and "The Falcon Parts 1-3" (52 pages) as well as the Season 5 episodes "My Friend, My Enemy" (148 pages) and "The Rebel" 57 pages. The scripts are hand-labeled for art director Bill Ross, costumer Wes Eckhart, special effects artist Jim Rugg, and sound artist Don Merritt, with Ross' script containing an additional 15 pages of production paperwork and Eckhart and Rugg's scripts hand-annotated throughout with production notes.

Also included is a color-printed still of stars Graves, Greg Morris (Barney Collier), Leonard Nimoy (Paris), and Peter Lupus (Willie Armitage) from the promotion of Season 4. The scripts exhibit ripping on their edges, discoloration, and creases throughout from production use. Dimensions: (each) 8.5" x 11.5" x 0.5 (21.5 cm x 29.25 cm x 5.75 cm).
